Bethel-Tate passes on passing

By Greg Shoemaker | Featured Analyst

Bethel-Tate figured out how to win without passing last season. In this day and age when the spread offense has become so relevant in high school football the Tigers managed to go 5-5 while throwing just 19 total passes (completing just three) during the 2014 campaign.

Don't expect things to change this fall for Bethel-Tate. The Tigers return leading rusher Stephen Cooper who racked up 1,375 yards and nine touchdowns rushing as a sophomore. Also back is quarterback Jeffrey Botts who amassed 501 yards and eight scores on the ground as a junior. Botts threw for just 57 yards in 10 starts and never threw more than for passes in a game.
