Batavia 52, Clermont Northeastern 14

By TSF Staff | TRISTATEFOOTBALL.COM

Batavia (4-1, 1-0) quarterback KeShawn Foley was about as close to perfect as you could get in his team’s 52-14 win at Clermont Northeastern (0-5, 0-1) on Friday night. Foley went 10-of-11 for 271 yards while passing for six touchdowns. He also carried the ball nine times for 126 yards.

At the midway point of the season the junior has racked up 1,477 yards of total offense (773 passing, 704 rushing) while accounting for 22 touchdowns (12 passing, 10 rushing).

Foley wasn’t the only hero for the Bulldogs on this evening. Receiver Levi Sellars also had a historical performance. Sellars was a thorn in the side of the CNE defense with six receptions for 161 yards and five touchdown catches. The senior came into the game with just five catches on the season. He also had an interception for the defense.

It was the third time in five contests that Batavia has scored more than 50 points.

The Bulldogs will host Williamsburg (3-2, 1-0) who has won three in a row next Friday night at Holman Stadium. The Rockets look to break their 14-game losing streak next week at Bethel-Tate (1-4, 0-1).
